Yes, everything in the Deadpool world is possible!

In an interview with The Huffington Post Deadpool 2 director David Leitch was asked about Deadpool’s pansexuality and whether or not we’d see it manifest in the movie.

“Everything in the Deadpool world is possible. It’s such a crazy universe to play in, but I can’t comment about where we’re gonna go. That’s what’s fun about Deadpool, you really don’t know and you’re willing to ask these questions about him. I think that, right there, says it all. How often do you have a character where you could even have these discussions?”

Deadpool is pansexual in the original comics, but Leitch again, neither confirms nor denies the possibility. Ryan Reynolds has spoken out in the past quite a few times how he would like to see that story play out on the big screen, so it isn't that much of a stretch. Leitch went on to say that he's excited to be a part of the project while praising Reynolds' interpretation of the character. Leitch said this.

"I'm so excited about how people are so into his universe and his world, and I think that says a lot about the character Ryan built. He's perfect for that role."

A pansexual is a person that loves someone else not based on their sex, gender, or gender identity but the person themselves. It a spectrum that people who are familiar with the queer community might not know much about and is certainly not something we’ve seen represented in the mainstream media. We already know that star Ryan Reynolds has no problem kissing the boys as he demonstrated during the Golden Globes when he kissed Andrew Garfield.

Director David Leitch is about to follow up his breakout film, John Wick, with the already acclaimed female spy action thriller Atomic Blonde, and then he'll be jumping into the X-Men movie universe with Deadpool 2. Alongside Reynolds, Deadpool 2 will star T.J. Miller as Weasel, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as the voice of Colossus and Karan Soni as Dopinder, with newcomers Zazie Beetz as Domino, Josh Brolin as Cable, Julian Dennison in an unknown role, and Jack Kesy as a villain widely thought to be Black Tom Cassidy. Deadpool 2 is in production now in Victoria, British Columbia, before it will hit theaters on June 1, 2018.
