Avengers 4's Filming is Officially Underway

The directors have indicated the start of filming on Avengers 4 with a cryptic new photo from the film’s set.

Just before the San Diego Comic-Con, directors Anthony and Joe Russo revealed the conclusion of filming on the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War. Now, four weeks later, the brothers are back to reveal that production has resumed on the fourth film with a cheeky Facebook post with only the words “Beginning the end” attached to the image. The photo shows a purple glove holding up four fingers to the camera.

The news comes after Josh Brolin announced that he was heading back to Atlanta to shoot some more footage of Thanos and after Joe Russo announced at San Diego Comic-Con that principle photography was to begin around this time. The cast of the movie is being kept a secret out of fear of revealing too much about the events of Infinity War, where it has been rumored that not everybody will make it to Avengers 4 after battling the Mad Titan. It means that Avengers 4 is expected to return another big cast with Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Cumberbatch, Samuel L. Jackson, Evangeline Lilly, Karen Gillan, Anthony Mackie, Tom Holland, Zoe Zaldana, and Dave Bautista reprising their respective roles.

We still don't have a title for the flick, either, as we've been told it's a huge spoiler.

“There’s a reason we have publicly called the first one Infinity War and the second one 'untitled', because the movies we were developing were not – certainly there’s a connection, there are with all our movies – but it’s not a first part and a second part," Marvel's Kevin Feige said a while back. "It’s a whole movie and a whole story, and then a whole movie and a whole story...That’s about all I can say. It’s certainly inspired by everything that has come before and everything that is hinted at before".

Avengers 4 is set for release in 2019.
