According to NBC, the cast of the hit sitcom Friends will be reunited together on their old network next month for a two-hour special. Specifically, Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross completed the commitment to participate the program for a tribute to director James Burrows, who also produced the likes of Taxi, Frasier, The Bob Newhart Show and Cheers. However, the chairman of NBC Entertainment, Robert Greenblatt, said that it would be difficult for the six guests to appear side by side. "I'm hoping all six will be in same room at same time," said Robert, "I'm not sure we can logistically pull it off."

Friends is an American television sitcom, created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, which originally aired on NBC from September 22, 1994, to May 6, 2004, lasting ten seasons. The series mainly revolves around three young men and three young women, of the BFF kind, who live in the same apartment complex and face life and love in New York. Friends received acclaim throughout its run, becoming one of the most popular television shows of all time. The critics praised the series's consistent script and the great collaboration between the leads. The series also enrolls in multiple lists of best TV shows made by the critics, "100 Best TV Shows of All Time" of Times, "The 50 Greatest TV Shows Of All Time" of Empire, etc. American Author's Association also honored the series in "101 Best Written TV Series List" in 2012.

Actually, the series' fans have raised the hope for more than one decade to be able to see Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer all again on the screen but all previous attempts failed. The last episode of "Friends" was the fourth most-watched television series finale in U.S. history when it aired May 6, 2004, bringing an end to Central Perk and the TV lives of Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Joey and Phoebe. However, after that, they became the leading actors of the world thanks to the success of the series.

The special with the reunion of the cast is scheduled to be aired on NBC, Feb 21th.
