Confusing posters of Game of Thrones might reveal the main theme of this season: Death!

HBO has just launched a series of 16 dark posters to remind us that Game of Thrones Season 6 will be released on May 4. Like the teaser launched not long ago, this series gives us the thrilling feeling that a bloodbath might be there in this season.  The images utilize the House of Black and White’s eerie Hall of Faces, where the Faceless Men use the skin of the dead to create their disguises. Will some of our favorite characters be joining those chilling ranks this season? The point of these posters, other than promoting the show, seems to be the suggestion that any character could die in season 6.

There is one thing undeniable, whether alive or dead, coming back or not, Jon Snow has always been there to attract the viewers.

But is there any bigger secret hidden in Season 6? Not trying to spoil the content, but perhaps Jon Snow is not the only considered-as-dead character that returns in this this season. In other words, the resurrection is the theme throughout the season 6, when the "ghosts" from the past revive. Greyjoy's slogan:  "What is dead unfortunately never die" might become the hot hashtag soon.

Zombies were summoned in the Hardhome episode last season, but that's not the resurrection we talk about in season 6. Many character thought to be dead already will likely make a comeback.

Melisandre is capable to bring Jon Snow back, and there also are many reasons to believe that Sandor Clegane a.k.a. the Hound (Rory McCann) will return in this season. It is obvious that we have never seen him dead. Although his comeback is not confirmed in the books yet, there is a sharp possibility that Gravedigger is Clegane's camouflage. Besides, actor Rory McCann was seen to be on the set last June when the movie was being shot. And last November, Ian McShane hinted that his mystery character in "Game of Thrones" season six will return one of the show's missing or dead favorites. And if one of the Cleganes can be revived, why not hoping for both of them?

Another character we can hope to see again is Shae (Sibel Kekilli), who was  strangled by Tyrion in Season 4. Kikelli was seen to be on the set of Mereen in the costume of a civilian. Shae is surely dead, but Tyrion and Varys might see the illusion of her in the crowd at Mereen.

Another "cheating" way to revive dead characters is Arya and her acting skill. Stark's daughter might wear a mask of some character and we just can't tell. It means that there are many ways of resurrection in this season, but no matter which way it is, we still hope to see again Jon Snow, the Hound, Ned Stark, Joffrey Baratheon, Shae… and Catelyn Stark in Lady Stoneheart.

Who will live and who will die? We’ll have to wait until Season 6 premieres on Sunday, April 24 at 9 p.m. to find out for sure.
