Stephanie Sigman is expected to play as Sister Charlotte in the sequel of popular horror hit “Annabelle”.

Following the success of “Spectre,” Stephanie Sigman is now eyeing a new franchise, as the actress has closed a deal to co-star with Miranda Otto in New Line’s “Annabelle 2.”

Annabelle 2's plot is focused on the doll-maker who created the grinning fiend in the first place. 20 years after their daughter died tragically, the craftsman and his scarred wife (Otto) welcome a nun and several girls from an orphanage that recently had to close. Unfortunately for the new arrivals, the possessed doll is none too pleased with the added house guests. Sigman, whose casting was revealed by Variety, is playing Sister Charlotte.

As planned, the project is directed by David Sandberg while James Wan, who directed The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2 will participate as a producer.

Annabelle (2014) is actually a spin-off of The Conjuring (2013), revolving around the haunted doll and its victims.

While critically not well received, Annabelle scared up massive profits for Warner Bros., earning over $250 million worldwide on a budget of only $6.5 million.

Recently, New Line has decided to apply the beloved motif again after the success of The Conjuring 2 (2016). They have been planning to produce a spin-off about Valak.

Annabelle 2 is expected to haunt theaters from 19/5/2017.
